Rep. Chris Pappas, who represents New Hampshire’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on October 14, 2025, addressing international developments, constituent services, and domestic policy issues.

In a post on October 14, 2025, Pappas commented on the release of hostages in the Middle East, stating, “After 738 days in captivity, it’s a relief to know that the last 20 living hostages taken by Hamas have been freed and reunited with their families. As the agreement to end the war continues to be implemented, this is an essential first step. The United States must stay engaged”.

Later the same day, Pappas reassured constituents about the availability of his office’s services, writing, “My offices remain open to serve #NH01. You can also contact me at https://t.co/FpKbWz7Tck.”

Addressing domestic policy, Pappas highlighted the need for responsible government funding and action on health care: “We need to open the government in a responsible manner that funds the services Granite Staters rely on, and we can’t ignore the action Congress must take on health care. From President Trump’s cuts to Medicaid to the ACA tax credits expiring soon, families need relief. This”.

Pappas has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Carol Shea-Porter and previously served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Born in Manchester in 1980, he continues to reside there and is a graduate of Harvard University.
