U.S. Representative Chris Pappas, who serves New Hampshire’s 1st district in Congress, posted a series of messages on September 16, 2025, addressing issues ranging from food assistance to the trucking industry.

In one post, Pappas expressed support for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), stating: “SNAP helps working families put food on the table, hungry kids get a meal, and supports our farmers. Devastating cuts to this food assistance program are hurting Granite State parents, children, and farms. I’ll continue working to stop these cuts and support programs that help https://t.co/883WlxImjn” (September 16, 2025).

Pappas also recognized National Truck Driver Appreciation Week in another message: “It’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week! Thank you to all our truckers in New Hampshire and across the country who deliver products and goods for us every day and keep our economy moving. #NTDAW25 #ThankATrucker” (September 16, 2025).

Chris Pappas has represented New Hampshire’s 1st congressional district since replacing Carol Shea-Porter in 2019. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Born in Manchester in 1980 and currently residing there at age 42, Pappas graduated from Harvard University with a BA in 2002.
