Rep. Chris Pappas, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Hampshire’s 1st district, has been active on social media discussing various issues pertinent to his constituents and broader national concerns.
On July 7, 2025, Rep. Pappas shared his experience at a local event, stating “Had a wonderful Independence Day at the Merrimack parade! “. This post highlights his engagement with community events and celebrations.
Later that day, Rep. Pappas addressed economic issues affecting families due to tariffs. He posted “Tariffs are raising the cost of essential baby products, including car seats, strollers, cribs, and highchairs, that working families cannot go without.” He mentioned joining colleagues to urge Secretary Scott Bessent for tariff exemptions on these items but noted they were still awaiting action.
On July 8, 2025, Rep. Pappas criticized legislative actions he perceives as detrimental to working families. He tweeted “This administration and Republicans in Congress have ignored the needs of working families by enacting their cruel Big, Ugly Bill.” He indicated participation with fellow legislators Senator Shaheen, Senator Hassan, and Rep. Chris Pappas has served in Congress since replacing Carol Shea-Porter in 2019 after previously serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Born in Manchester in 1980 and an alumnus of Harvard University with a BA obtained in 2002, he continues to reside there.
