U.S. Representative Chris Pappas, who serves New Hampshire’s 1st district, posted a series of updates on his official X account from January 25 to January 27, 2026, addressing constituent services, economic concerns, and Holocaust Remembrance Day.
On January 25, Pappas announced the availability of his staff for assistance with federal resources during scheduled office hours. He stated: “OFFICE HOURS: During office hours, my staff will be available to answer questions and help you with federal resources or agencies, like VA benefits to Social Security. For times and locations for this week, please see below.”
The following day, January 26, Pappas addressed the issue of rising utility costs affecting families in his district. He wrote: “Families, working people, and seniors are being slammed by high utility prices, and they need relief and action. I’m helping launch the Lowering Utility Bills Caucus to push solutions forward, take on corporations raking in record profits, and lower people’s bills.”
On January 27—Holocaust Remembrance Day—Pappas reflected on the memory of those lost during the Holocaust and condemned antisemitism. His post read: “Today on Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the 6 million Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust and recommit to always oppose all forms of antisemitism, hate, and bigotry.”
Chris Pappas has represented New Hampshire’s 1st congressional district since replacing Carol Shea-Porter in 2019. Before joining Congress he served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Born in Manchester in 1980 and a Harvard University graduate (2002), Pappas continues to reside in Manchester as he fulfills his duties representing constituents at the federal level.
