Rep. Chris Pappas, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Hampshire’s 1st district, has recently shared his views on several issues through social media posts. Pappas, who replaced Carol Shea-Porter in 2019 and previously served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010, continues to address concerns pertinent to veterans’ affairs, state celebrations, and healthcare policies.
On June 3, 2025, Rep. Chris Pappas expressed concern regarding the potential risks facing veterans due to certain administrative decisions. He stated that “Veterans don’t agree with putting more veterans at risk of foreclosure. They don’t agree with firing crisis line employees. They don’t agree that firing 83,000 VA staff would improve VA’s ability to meet veterans’ needs.” He emphasized the need for improved leadership from both the Department of Veterans Affairs and the White House.
Later that day, Pappas celebrated a local event by wishing his constituents well on a special occasion dedicated to their state. At 20:17 UTC on June 3rd, he tweeted “Happy 603 Day, New Hampshire!”, marking a day significant for residents of New Hampshire.
In another post on June 3rd at 22:23 UTC, Rep. Pappas addressed federal healthcare law and its implications for abortion care during medical emergencies. He highlighted the importance of maintaining guidance that ensures lifesaving care is provided when needed and criticized any attempts to revoke such protections by stating “Revoking this guidance puts women’s lives at risk. It must be reinstated.”
Chris Pappas was born in Manchester, New Hampshire in 1980 and graduated from Harvard University in 2002 with a BA.
