Rep. Chris Pappas, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Hampshire’s 1st district, has been vocal on several issues through his recent tweets. Pappas, who succeeded Carol Shea-Porter in 2019 and has a background in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, continues to engage with his constituents on topics ranging from economic policies to clean energy projects.

On June 19, 2025, Rep. Chris Pappas expressed concern over current administration tariffs by stating that “This administration’s reckless tariffs are a national sales tax on businesses and families.” He introduced the Small Business Liberation Act alongside Kelly Morrison as a measure aimed at providing stability for small businesses during uncertain times.

Later that day, Pappas acknowledged the efforts of Job Corps students and staff in protecting their program. He tweeted his support by saying “Thank you to all the Job Corps students, alumni, and staff fighting to protect this program that helps our youth get educated, find employment, and thrive.”

On June 20, 2025, Pappas celebrated a local achievement in clean energy development. He congratulated those involved in an Exeter project with a tweet: “This is an exciting clean energy project happening in Exeter.” This recognition underscores his support for sustainable initiatives within his district.

Born in Manchester, New Hampshire in 1980 and an alumnus of Harvard University with a BA degree earned in 2002, Pappas continues to reside in Manchester while advocating for various legislative measures.
