Rep. Chris Pappas, U.S. Congressman representing New Hampshire’s 1st district, shared updates on diplomatic engagement, federal transparency concerns, and new legislative efforts in a series of posts on February 3, 2026.
In his first post of the day, Pappas highlighted a recent meeting with Greece’s new ambassador to the United States. On February 3, he wrote: “Sat down with the new Greek Ambassador to the United States, Ambassador Antonis Alexandridis.

Later that day, Pappas addressed local concerns regarding federal activity in Merrimack. At 20:25 UTC on February 3, he stated: “Despite repeated outreach from Merrimack officials, my office, and countless others, the federal government has repeatedly refused to confirm what we now know for certain: they are seeking to purchase land in Merrimack for a new ICE processing center.

Chris Pappas has represented New Hampshire’s 1st District in Congress since 2019 after serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Born in Manchester in 1980 and currently residing there at age 42, Pappas is also an alumnus of Harvard University (BA, Class of 2002).
