Rep. Chris Pappas, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Hampshire’s 1st district, shared his views and activities through a series of tweets on June 13, 2025. Later that day, Pappas participated in an event at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He tweeted about attending a change of command ceremony and expressed gratitude towards Captain Oberdorf for his service while welcoming Captain Nice as he takes over command. Pappas remarked, “I was honored to join the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard today to mark their change of command.”
In another tweet on the same day, Pappas highlighted a personal story shared with him by Lucas Young’s family regarding their reliance on Medicaid for healthcare needs. He acknowledged their concerns about potential program cuts affecting care provision for Lucas Young. The congressman noted his appreciation by stating “I’m very grateful to Lucas Young, his mom Heather, and their entire family for sharing their story with me this week.”
Chris Pappas was born in Manchester, New Hampshire in 1980 and holds a BA from Harvard University obtained in 2002.
