Chris Pappas, a U.S. Congressman representing New Hampshire’s 1st district since 2019, recently shared updates on his legislative and community efforts via social media. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, Pappas has been active in public service for over two decades, previously serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010.
On June 18, 2025, Pappas announced that he had collaborated with law enforcement and public health experts to prevent the lapse of fentanyl analogue scheduling. He expressed satisfaction with the progress made as “this legislation passed the House and is headed to the President’s desk.”
Later that day, Pappas reported on a successful community event in Londonderry. He stated that “70 people got help with their passport applications today at my Pop-Up Passport Fair.” He encouraged constituents to sign up for his newsletter for information on future events.
On June 19, 2025, Pappas reflected on Juneteenth, emphasizing its significance in American history. He noted that “we recognize and commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.” He called for continued efforts towards building a more inclusive society.
