Chris Pappas, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Hampshire’s 1st district, recently shared updates on his activities and political stance through social media posts. These updates provide insight into his visits to local organizations, economic concerns, and legislative initiatives.

On January 31, 2025, Pappas highlighted his visit to the Tamworth Community Nurse Association. He commended their contributions to community well-being through free services ranging from skilled nursing to community events. “Got to visit the Tamworth Community Nurse Association yesterday. Their free services – from skilled nursing to community events – enhance community well-being in so many ways.”

Later that day, Pappas expressed concern over President Trump’s tariff policies. He warned that these tariffs would significantly increase costs for families and businesses across various sectors such as groceries, gas, and housing. Pappas reiterated his commitment to reducing costs for residents of New Hampshire by opposing these tariffs. “President Trump’s across-the-board tariffs will drastically raise costs for families and businesses, from groceries to gas and housing.”

In another post on January 31, 2025, Pappas announced the introduction of his first bill in the 119th Congress aimed at reducing government waste by reforming duplicative policies. The bill mandates consideration by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in efforts to cut spending while enhancing efficiency.“To responsibly cut government waste – reforming duplicative, overlapping policies is the commonsense place to start.”
