U.S. Congressman Chris Pappas, who represents New Hampshire’s 1st district, shared a series of posts on August 22, 2025, highlighting his recent community engagements and policy concerns.

In a post published at 15:00 UTC, Pappas reflected on a local education event: “It was great to join CelebratED in Manchester yesterday! Thank you to all the community members who joined to support and celebrate our students as they prepare to head back to school at the end of the month.”

An hour later, at 16:00 UTC, he addressed road safety measures in memory of Sgt. Sherrill: “Improving road safety will save lives. We can all honor Sgt. Sherrill’s memory by remembering to move over and give stopped vehicles a safe berth on our roadways.”

Later that evening, at 22:01 UTC, Pappas discussed health care funding challenges during a visit with Harbor Care: “Grateful to take part in a conversation at Harbor Care today to discuss the urgent threats patients, communities, and hospitals are facing because of cuts to Medicaid and other vital services. I will never stop fighting this recklessness from Washington that will seriously harm”

Pappas has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Carol Shea-Porter and previously held office in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Born in Manchester in 1980 and currently residing there, he is an alumnus of Harvard University with a BA earned in 2002.
