The City of Lebanon announced on May 14 that exterior painting work will take place at City Hall, located at 51 North Park Street, throughout the month of May. The project will focus on repainting the front, south-facing exterior woodwork of the building.
Preparation for the work is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 15–16, with early completion those days to accommodate scheduled performances at the Lebanon Opera House. Additional preparation is set for Saturday and Sunday, May 23–24.
Painting is expected to begin on Tuesday, May 26 and last three to four days. During this phase, one half of the front entrance will always remain open so that building access continues uninterrupted. A staff member from the painting company will be present on-site to assist visitors when entrance access is limited.
Interior signage will direct visitors to alternate exits if temporary closures occur. A lift will be placed on the sidewalk during the project period. The city notes that minor delays may affect nearby bus operations during morning setup and end-of-day equipment movement.
The announcement aims to inform residents and visitors about changes in building access and possible transit delays while maintenance work takes place.
