Commissioner Chris Nicolopoulos to Not Seek Reappointment; Replacement Search to Begin Immediately

Concord, NH – On May 9, 2023, Governor Chris Sununu announced that Insurance Commissioner Christopher Nicolopoulos will not be seeking reappointment upon the conclusion of his term.

“I thank Commissioner Nicolopoulous for his service to the State of New Hampshire and the Department of Insurance, ” said Governor Chris Sununu. “Commissioner Nicolopoulos played a critical role in standing up New Hampshire’s first-of-its-kind voluntary Paid Family and Medical Leave Program, and has worked diligently to ensure the best premiums possible for policyholders. “

A search for a new Insurance commissioner will begin immediately and interested candidates should send a letter of interest and resume to Governor Sununu’s Director of Appointments, Dee Jurius, at Deanna.E.Jurius@nh.gov.
