Concord General Services announced on May 19 that its main and utility billing offices will be closed temporarily on Wednesday, May 20, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The closure is scheduled so employees can attend the Annual Public Works Luncheon.
The temporary closure allows staff members to participate in a recognition event during National Public Works Week. This observance highlights the contributions of public works professionals in maintaining city infrastructure and services.
According to Concord General Services, both the main office and utility billing office will resume normal operations after the luncheon ends at 12:45 p.m. Residents are encouraged to plan their visits around this brief interruption.
National Public Works Week is recognized across various communities as an opportunity to honor those who keep essential services running smoothly. The city’s participation reflects ongoing efforts to support and recognize municipal workers.
City officials said they appreciate residents’ understanding during this short period of closure as they acknowledge their staff’s dedication.
