Traffic on Route 149 in Deering, New Hampshire, will face disruptions for about three weeks due to roadwork. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) plans to conduct daytime work from Pleasant Pond Road to the Deering/Weare town line. This includes pre-paving operations and a final pavement overlay.

Weather permitting, the work is scheduled to start on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, and continue until Friday, July 25, 2025. The work hours are set between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. During this period, temporary lane closures will occur with one lane remaining open for alternating traffic flow while the other lane is closed for a mobile work zone.

To maintain safety and reduce disruptions, certified flaggers and traffic control devices will be used to guide motorists. Drivers are advised to exercise caution, follow posted signs, and expect potential delays as crews carry out the project.

This roadwork is part of resurfacing projects in districts 2, 3, and 4 across several towns including Harrisville, Deering, Cornish, Hill, Lempster, New London, Ashland, Alstead, Newport, and Danbury. Pike Industries, Inc., based in Belmont, New Hampshire is handling the $6.2 million project expected to finish by fall 2025.
