The FDA conducted inspections at four different Food and Cosmetics companies in New Hampshire during the month of March, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

These inspections represented the highest number conducted by the FDA for any single company type in New Hampshire, accounting for 80% of all inspections carried out in the state that month.

Among the Food and Cosmetics companies in New Hampshire, Yankee Fishermen’s Cooperative received the greatest number of citations from the FDA in March.

The FDA routinely inspects facilities across the nation to determine if the workplace and their products are compliant with FDA-regulated laws and regulations implemented to improve overall public health. Inspection results are then disclosed publicly.

According to its website, the FDA is a government agency that is primarily responsible for monitoring the production and distribution of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical supplies and tobacco products for safety and quality.
