FOIA Request to New Hampshire Department of Education Higher Education Commission Regarding State University Employees’ Salaries on November 14, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in public institutions, we at Granite State Times have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the New Hampshire Department of Education Higher Education Commission. The request, submitted under the Right to Know Law (RSA. 91-A), seeks comprehensive data about the compensation of all university employees, including those at community colleges.

The information requested includes each employee’s name, title, university name, employment type, and compensation amount. This data is critical for us as we continue our investigative reporting into local governmental affairs and strive to provide our readers with accurate and comprehensive news coverage.

In line with our role as a media organization disseminating information to the public, we have also requested a fee waiver for this FOIA request. Access to such public records is essential for us in fulfilling our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.

We await a response from the New Hampshire Department of Education Higher Education Commission and will keep our readers updated on any developments.
