New Hampshire Gov. Kelly Ayotte said in a May 27 post on X that the state is expanding dual and concurrent enrollment opportunities through its community college system.
“As we recognize Early College Month, I’m proud of the work we’re doing in New Hampshire to expand dual and concurrent enrollment opportunities through our community colleges,” Ayotte said. “We’re fortunate to have one of the best community college systems in the country!”
Ayotte made the statement while highlighting Early College Month and the Community College System of New Hampshire’s role in offering college credit opportunities to high school students.
A Governor and Executive Council agenda document said the Community College System of New Hampshire had 16% enrollment growth across three early college programs during the 2023-24 school year. The document said the system served more than 10,000 high school students and helped students earn more than $10 million in future tuition and fee savings.
The governor’s office said the Community College System of New Hampshire was ranked best in New England and among the top 10 nationally among two-year public higher education institutions. The office said CCSNH offers high school students ways to earn college credit through courses at their high schools, on campuses and online.
Ayotte was elected New Hampshire’s 83rd governor in November 2024 and took office in January 2025. Her official biography says she previously served as U.S. senator from New Hampshire from 2011 to 2017 and as New Hampshire attorney general from 2004 to 2009.
