The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) has approved a permit for BAY CRANE NORTHEAST LLC to transport heavy equipment from Rollinsford to Salem. The transportation, referred to as a “supermove,” will occur over several nights, starting at 7:30 PM on Monday, June 23rd, 2025, and is expected to conclude by Friday morning, June 27th, 2025.

The equipment being moved includes enclosures for electrical equipment and measures 107 feet long, over 20 feet tall, and nearly 17 feet wide. The supermove will begin each evening between 7:30 and 9:00 PM and will end before the morning commute the following day.

The route starts at the Maine state line in Rollinsford and proceeds through various highways including NH-4, NH-9 EAST, NH-155, US-4, NH-125 SOUTH, NH-27, NORTH RD, NH-101, NH-111, and finally onto NH-28 SB towards the Massachusetts state line in Salem.

To ensure safety during this operation, there will be road closures lasting up to 30 minutes or more along certain parts of the route. Additionally, rolling roadblocks will be in place throughout the move. Travelers are advised to find alternate routes when near the supermove’s path. Traffic control will include yellow light escorts and assistance from the New Hampshire State Police.
