The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) is set to begin construction on a hybrid roundabout at the intersection of US 202 (NH Route 9) and Route 127 / Old Concord Road, just east of the Henniker/Hopkinton town line. The project will commence on Monday, August 25, 2025, and is expected to affect traffic through November.

Construction activities are scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, weather permitting. This phase involves clearing and road widening to shift traffic into temporary lanes in preparation for the new hybrid roundabout. The project includes reconstructing approaches on US 202 (NH Route 9), NH Route 127, and Old Concord Road. It also features new overhead sign structures and drainage improvements as part of its five-phase plan.

Traffic management will include message boards, flaggers, uniformed officers, and control devices to guide motorists safely through the area. Drivers are advised to stay alert and adhere to posted signs within the construction zone. A speed reduction of 10 mph will be enforced for safety.

For further information about the project, visit the project webpage or access real-time traffic updates at https://newengland511.org/. Motorists can also use “My511” for alerts on incidents and construction work.

Weaver Brothers Construction Company, Inc., based in Bow, NH, has been contracted for this $5.6 million project with an anticipated completion date in September 2026.
