A Manchester man has been sentenced to over four years in federal prison for drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession. Eddie Veilleux, 58, received a 52-month sentence followed by three years of supervised release. He was also ordered to forfeit a 2020 Black BMW sedan.
Veilleux pleaded guilty in March 2025 to charges of possessing controlled substances with intent to distribute and possessing a firearm as a prohibited person. Acting U.S. Attorney Jay McCormack commented on the case, stating, “This sentence reflects the serious consequences that come with trafficking drugs while illegally possessing a firearm.”
The investigation was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) with support from the Manchester Police Department. DEA Special Agent Stephen Belleau highlighted the dangers of drug trafficking, noting its link to violence and community harm.
Veilleux’s arrest occurred on November 24, 2023, when authorities found drugs and a loaded revolver in his vehicle. As a convicted felon, he was barred from having firearms or ammunition.
Assistant U.S. Attorney John J. Kennedy prosecuted the case.
