The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has endorsed Russell Prescott for the U.S. House of Representatives to represent New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District. The NFIB, known as a leading advocate for small businesses in the United States, announced its support on September 26, 2024.

Bruce Berke, NFIB New Hampshire State Director, expressed confidence in Prescott’s capabilities: “Russell Prescott’s decades of experience owning and operating his own business will be valuable in Washington, D.C.” He added that Prescott had demonstrated his support for small businesses during his tenure as a New Hampshire State Senator and is expected to advocate for making the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent.

Prescott responded positively to the endorsement: “As a small business owner myself, I know the importance of having representation in Washington that reflects the needs of job creators right here in New Hampshire.” He emphasized his commitment to pro-growth policies and expressed gratitude for the NFIB’s support.

Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also commented on the endorsement: “We are pleased to endorse Russell Prescott today. As a long-time business owner and NFIB member, we are confident he will bring a small business mindset to Congress.”

The endorsement was issued by NFIB FedPAC, which is funded through voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their regular dues. Decisions regarding endorsements are managed through a grassroots evaluation process driven by members.
