The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced it will hold a Public Informational Meeting on April 30 to discuss improvements to the NH 104 (Summer Street) corridor from School Street to Ayers Island Road.
According to the announcement, the meeting will take place at 6:00 PM at the Town of Bristol’s Historic Old Town Hall, located at 45 Summer Street. Doors will open at 5:30 PM for an open house and interaction with the Project Development Team. Parking is available at 5 School Street and behind the church at 30 Summer Street. The public is encouraged to attend and participate.
The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project. The meeting will gather public input to ensure that project decisions meet transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment.
An environmental review of the project’s potential impacts on cultural and natural resources is underway in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act. The project is not expected to have an adverse effect on cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Individuals or organizations with a demonstrated interest in potential impacts to historic resources may become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Additional information will be provided at the meeting.
