The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced on March 26 that it will hold a Public Informational Meeting regarding improvements to the intersection of NH 108 (Portsmouth Avenue) and Bunker Hill Avenue in Stratham.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Town of Stratham Municipal Center, located at 10 Bunker Hill Avenue in the Sewall Room. Doors will open at 5:30 PM for an open house and interaction with the Project Development Team. The department encourages members of the public to attend and participate.
According to the announcement, “The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project. The meeting will gather public input to ensure that projects decisions meet transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment.”
An environmental review is underway as part of the project planning process. The department said that “the project is not expected to have an adverse effect on cultural or historic resources that are potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places.” Individuals or organizations interested in potential impacts to historic resources may become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Additional information about this process will be provided during the meeting.
