The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced that nighttime lane closures will take place on the Everett Turnpike Northbound and Southbound near Mile Marker 13.2 in Merrimack starting May 26 through June 3, between 7:00 PM and 6:30 AM.
According to the department, weather permitting, the work will involve installing a new drainage crossing near the Baboosic Lake Road bridge overpass and will require lane closures. Message boards, uniformed officers, and traffic control devices will be used to notify drivers.
The department said, “Road users should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all message boards and posted signs. Road Users are encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.”
This work is part of the Baboosic Lake Road and Wire Road bridge replacement project. Weaver Brothers Construction Co. of Bow, New Hampshire is serving as general contractor for the $30 million project, which is scheduled for completion in fall 2028.
