The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) has announced the temporary closure of certain ramps on Interstate 89 in Lebanon. The closures are scheduled for the night of Sunday, June 22, 2025, to facilitate pavement preparation work.
The affected ramps include the I-89 Exit 17 Northbound and Southbound on/off ramps and the Exit 19 Southbound on-ramp. Weather permitting, these closures will occur between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM. The Exit 17 ramp closures will happen one at a time to reduce traffic disruption, while the Exit 19 Southbound on-ramp will remain closed throughout the work period.
To assist drivers, message boards and temporary signs will guide traffic to use alternate exits: Exit 16 (Southbound), Exit 18 (Northbound), and Exit 20 (Northbound). Motorists should anticipate possible delays between Exits 16 and 20 during this time.
Drivers are advised to stay alert in the construction zone and follow all posted instructions. Additionally, they can receive real-time updates by signing up for notifications at https://newengland511.org/.
Pike Industries of Belmont, NH is overseeing this $6.3 million project as the prime contractor.
