Jessica Olena, a 48-year-old resident of Plymouth, has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison and four years of supervised release for distributing over seven pounds of methamphetamine. The sentence was handed down by Chief Judge Samantha D. Elliott after Olena pleaded guilty to two counts of methamphetamine distribution, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Erin Creegan.

“Today’s sentence reflects the serious threat posed by those who deal in dangerous drugs like methamphetamine,” said U.S. Attorney Creegan. “This defendant was distributing large quantities of this highly potent substance. Our office will continue supporting our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners in drug interdiction efforts to prevent illicit drugs from reaching our streets, and to hold accountable those who seek to profit from poisoning New Hampshire communities.”

DEA Special Agent in Charge Jarod Forget, New England Field Division, commented on the case: “DEA stands committed to keeping highly addictive drugs like methamphetamine off the streets of New Hampshire. Today’s sentence not only holds Ms. Olena accountable for her crimes but serves as a warning to those traffickers who are contributing to the drug crisis. This investigation demonstrates the strength of collaborative law enforcement efforts and our strong partnership with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Hampshire.”

Authorities reported that between January and June 2024, a confidential source working with law enforcement arranged purchases totaling more than one and a half pounds of methamphetamine from Olena. When arrested on June 26, 2024, Olena admitted she had sold another pound of methamphetamine the previous night and routinely bought large amounts for further distribution.

The Drug Enforcement Administration led the investigation into Olena’s activities with assistance from the New Hampshire State Police Mobile Enforcement Team. The prosecution was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Cesar Vega and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Heather Anderson.
