The Governor’s Advisory Commission on Intermodal Transportation (GACIT) has announced a series of public hearings to discuss the draft 2027-2036 Ten-Year Transportation Improvement Plan. These hearings will take place across New Hampshire during the weeks of September 29 and October 6, 2025. The hearings are organized by GACIT, which includes the five Executive Councilors and the Commissioner of the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT).

The meetings aim to gather public feedback on transportation projects and priorities proposed in the plan. “The purpose of these Hearings is to receive public comments/testimony on transportation projects and priorities included in the draft 2027-2036 Ten-Year Transportation Improvement Plan, as recommended by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to GACIT,” states NHDOT.

Hearings will be held at various locations including Derry Town Hall, Bedford Town Meeting Room, Hampton Beach Seashell, Newport Recreation Department, Berlin City Hall Auditorium, Conway’s Upstairs Meeting Room, Hudson Community Center, Hillsborough Fire Station Meeting Room, and Newbury Town Office. A virtual component will be added to each meeting with details available on the NHDOT website prior to each date.

For those unable to attend in person, written testimony can be submitted within ten days after the hearings conclude. Documents related to the plan are accessible online or through contact with NHDOT’s Bureau of Planning & Community Assistance.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation ensures compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in all its programs and services. Alternative formats for information are available upon request.
