The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) is set to hold a public informational meeting regarding safety improvements at the intersection of NH Route 102 and NH Route 121 in Chester, New Hampshire. The meeting will take place on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Chester Town Hall, located at 84 Chester Street.
During the session, NHDOT will present details about existing conditions, design considerations, design alternatives, project schedule, and right-of-way issues. Public participation is encouraged as this project could impact cultural or historic resources potentially eligible for or listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Those with an interest in these impacts can become Consulting Parties under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and provide input on current deficiencies to ensure that project decisions align with public transportation needs and community goals while protecting the environment. NHDOT assures that its programs comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to prevent discrimination.
