Rep. Chris Pappas, U.S. Congressman representing New Hampshire’s 1st district since 2019, addressed rising gas prices and local civic engagement in a series of posts on March 10, 2026.
In one post dated March 10, Pappas stated: “I remain committed to using every resource available to bring down costs and ensure that families and small businesses are not paying the price for this administration’s reckless actions. He further commented on the impact of global events on fuel costs, posting: “Gas prices are up 50 cents from last week due to President Trump’s war in Iran – it’s the last thing Granite Staters need as they already face high costs on groceries, housing, and health care thanks to this administration. So I’m introducing legislation in the House to suspend https://t.co/0beHE5ARRH”.
Later that day, Pappas encouraged constituents’ participation in local governance by noting: “It is Town Meeting Day! At your town meeting today, vote on local issues and make your voice heard. https://t.co/6HEhO4v7Bo”.
Chris Pappas has represented New Hampshire’s 1st District in Congress since succeeding Carol Shea-Porter in 2019. He previously served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Born in Manchester in 1980, Pappas graduated from Harvard University with a BA in 2002 and continues to reside in Manchester.
