Rep. Chris Pappas, who represents New Hampshire’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on January 15, 2026, addressing health care enrollment deadlines, mental health funding, and community project support.
In his first post of the day, Pappas reminded constituents about an important deadline: “REMINDER: Today is the LAST DAY to enroll in marketplace coverage. To sign up for health care coverage, change your existing plan, or learn more, visit: https://t.co/u0Hif9GzlY” (January 15, 2026).
Later that afternoon, he commented on federal grant funding for mental health and addiction services in New Hampshire: “While I am relieved these grants for mental health, addiction, and recovery services in New Hampshire have been reinstated, I remain deeply troubled by this administration’s ongoing attempts to cruelly rip away resources from Granite Staters. https://t.co/keKnT9eRSZ” (January 15, 2026).
In another update posted that evening, Pappas highlighted recent funding achievements for local projects: “Through my office’s community-driven process, I secured funding for New Hampshire community projects to support our law enforcement and first responders and improve water quality in communities with aging infrastructure. Chris Pappas has served as the U.S. Representative for New Hampshire’s 1st District since replacing Carol Shea-Porter in 2019. Before his tenure in Congress began that year, he was a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Born in Manchester in 1980 and currently residing there at age 42, Pappas is also a graduate of Harvard University with a BA earned in 2002.
