Rep. Chris Pappas, U.S. Congressman representing New Hampshire’s 1st district, recently posted a series of updates on his official Twitter account addressing local events and national policy issues.
On March 25, 2026, Pappas announced an upcoming community event: “UPCOMING: My office is holding a Pop-Up Passport Fair in Manchester on Tuesday, April 7th. To schedule an appointment or learn more https://t.co/PCkAmwkPy2 https://t.co/XWxoaeDlMW”. The announcement provides information for constituents interested in scheduling appointments for passport services.
Later that day, Pappas addressed economic concerns related to rising fuel costs. On March 25, he stated: “Soaring gas prices mean that every school drop off, every trip to the doctor or drive to work, takes a bigger bite out of a family’s budget. I spoke on the House floor today urging for the suspension of the federal gas tax through September to provide Americans with lower costs https://t.co/d4cXinXbw6”.
On March 26, Pappas commented on legislative developments regarding veterans’ health care access and abortion rights: “Last night Senate Republicans refused to reject a near-total abortion ban for veterans, which has stripped health care away from women veterans and their families. I’ll keep working to end the Trump administration’s abortion ban and will always fight to ensure veterans can get”.
Chris Pappas has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Carol Shea-Porter. He previously served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010 and was born in Manchester in 1980. Pappas graduated from Harvard University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
