Rep. Chris Pappas, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Hampshire’s 1st district, recently shared several updates on social media regarding upcoming events and legislative achievements. These updates highlight both local initiatives and broader legislative efforts.
On June 3, Rep. Pappas announced a community service event through his office’s social media platform. He stated, “NEW: My office is holding a Pop-Up Passport Fair in Londonderry on Wednesday, June 18th.” This initiative aims to assist constituents with passport services and provides an opportunity for residents to engage directly with congressional services.
The following day, on June 4, Rep. Pappas alerted his followers about environmental concerns affecting the region. He noted, “IMPORTANT: There’s an air quality alert in Rockingham County due to wildfires in Canada.” This notification underscores the ongoing impact of Canadian wildfires on local air quality and serves as a reminder for residents to stay informed about safety measures.
Later that same day, Rep. Pappas shared news of a legislative success concerning disability rights. He reported that “the House passed the bipartisan ThinkDIFFERENTLY About Disability Employment Act.” This bill is designed to enhance opportunities for individuals with disabilities by promoting equal access to small business ownership and employment.
Chris Pappas has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Carol Shea-Porter. His prior experience includes serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010.
