Rep. Chris Pappas discusses broadband projects and police funding requests in New Hampshire

Rep. Chris Pappas, U.S. Congressman representing New Hampshire’s 1st district since 2019, posted a series of updates on April 1 and April 2, 2026, highlighting his recent activities with local communities and public safety officials.

On April 1, Pappas reported meeting with residents and officials in Sandwich to discuss broadband installation efforts. He wrote, “Sat down with Sandwich community members and officials to discuss the critical broadband installation, a project that was several years in the making and funded in part by federal funds secured by my office’s community-driven program. Later that evening, Pappas extended holiday greetings for Passover via social media. His message read: “Chag sameach and happy Passover to those celebrating in New Hampshire and across the world! I wish all those observing a safe, sweet, and happy holiday with family and friends as Passover begins tonight.” (April 1).

On April 2, Pappas shared details about his visit to the Belmont Police Department regarding funding requests for technology upgrades. He stated: “Visited the Belmont Police Department today to discuss the community project funding request my office submitted for technology upgrades to assist the department in obtaining accreditation and improve public safety. I’m thankful for all our law enforcement officers do to answer https://t.co/53PMo2gwfL”.

Chris Pappas has served as U.S. Representative since replacing Carol Shea-Porter in 2019 and previously held a seat in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Born in Manchester in 1980, he continues to reside there. Pappas is an alumnus of Harvard University, graduating with a BA in 2002.
