Rep. Chris Pappas, U.S. Congressman representing New Hampshire’s 1st district, highlighted his recent efforts on veterans’ issues and cost-of-living concerns in a series of posts published from February 6 to February 7, 2026.
On February 6, Pappas stated, “This week I continued my work to hold VA accountable when it fails our veterans, ensure veterans’ survivors get the benefits they deserve, and lower the cost of everything from groceries to housing. Watch to learn more https://t.co/514xPGMEas”.
Later that same day, he addressed economic pressures facing American families: “Last year, costs went up an average of $1,600 dollars for every American household, and $2,100 for New Hampshire families. While the administration seems to believe this isn’t a problem, I’m focused on addressing kitchen table issues and lowering costs.

On February 7, Pappas described a community event at Maplewood Elementary in Somersworth: “It’s all good at Maplewood! Had a great time making valentines for veterans with fifth graders at Maplewood Elementary in Somersworth last week. Chris Pappas has served as U.S. Representative for New Hampshire’s 1st District since replacing Carol Shea-Porter in 2019. Prior to his current role in Congress, he was a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Born in Manchester in 1980 and currently residing there at age 42, Pappas is also an alumnus of Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree earned in 2002.
