Rep. Chris Pappas, who represents New Hampshire’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on community events and milestones through a series of posts on his social media accounts in mid-October 2025.

On October 12, Pappas highlighted his participation in a local event, stating, “I was so glad to join the celebration and opening of Gather’s new Community Food Center in Portsmouth on Friday. With new meeting space, an expanded shopping area, and more, this new center will help them do what they always do: Put the needs of the community front and center.”

The following day, on October 13, Pappas encouraged constituents to stay informed, posting, “Subscribe to my newsletter for regular updates: https://t.co/S6G2CDA4gD”

Later that day, he marked a significant national anniversary, writing, “Happy 250th birthday to the U.S. Navy! New Hampshire has long and proud ties to the Navy, including the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard – which plays a critical role in an our national defense. Thank you to the Sailors who have served and continue to serve.”

Pappas has represented New Hampshire’s 1st district in Congress since 2019, succeeding Carol Shea-Porter. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire in 1980, Pappas is 42 years old and holds a degree from Harvard University.
