Rep. Chris Pappas, who represents New Hampshire’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently commented on several key issues affecting his constituents, including Medicaid funding for nursing homes, the release of education funds, and support for local manufacturing.
On July 21, 2025, Pappas criticized recent legislative changes to Medicaid funding. In a tweet posted at 17:32 UTC, he stated: “The Big, Ugly Bill, which is now law, makes devastating cuts to Medicaid funding that New Hampshire nursing homes rely on. Without these resources, their services and care are in jeopardy.

Later that day at 21:35 UTC, Pappas addressed the partial release of education funds previously withheld by the Trump Administration. He wrote: “Part of the education funding that was being unlawfully withheld by the Trump Administration has been released.
I’m pushing the administration to follow the law and release the rest for our schools and families.
On July 22, 2025 at 14:40 UTC, Pappas highlighted new support for manufacturing in New Hampshire: “This funding for the New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership will help our small and medium-sized manufacturers make more in NH and create more good-paying jobs.
I’ll always support investments in American innovation and manufacturing.
