Rep. Chris Pappas, a U.S. Congressman representing New Hampshire’s 1st district since 2019, has recently shared his views on several topics via social media. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire in 1980 and a Harvard University graduate, Pappas has been active in politics since serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010.

On May 14, 2025, Rep. Pappas addressed concerns about Medicaid cuts by stating that “Granite Staters have been loud and clear: Medicaid must be protected.” He expressed his commitment to opposing cuts proposed by House Republicans and the administration while urging his Republican colleagues to join him in this effort. “I’m taking these stories back with me to DC as I continue to stand against cuts being pushed by House Republicans and the administration.”

In another post on the same day, Rep. Pappas commemorated Israel’s Independence Day, marking its 77th anniversary. He reaffirmed the United States’ support for Israel by stating that “the United States continues to stand steadfast with our friend and democratic ally, Israel.” “Today marks the 77th anniversary of the establishment of Israel.”

Later that day, he shared his experience engaging with Hampton Academy’s eighth graders during their trip to Washington D.C., emphasizing that “our nation’s capital belongs to them and to us all.” “It’s always nice to chat with Hampton Academy’s eighth graders on their DC trip and answer their thoughtful questions.”
