Lisa Mazur, Representative of New Hampshire, said that her bills aimed at protecting children from gender-related procedures are nearing approval by the governor. The announcement was made on X.

“Let’s go NH! My “do no harm to kids” bills are days away from reaching Gov Kelly Ayotte ‘s desk for signing,” said Liza Mazur, Representatives. “This is a winning issue for everyone, especially NH’s kids!”

Recent legislative actions in New Hampshire have centered on bills to limit gender-related medical procedures for minors. According to New Hampshire Public Radio, these discussions have sparked significant debate among lawmakers and the public. Several “do no harm” bills advanced in 2024, with public polling indicating that state residents remain divided on such restrictions. Political and generational differences are influencing the conversation.

According to the Williams Institute at UCLA, fewer than 0.02% of U.S. minors receive gender-related medical procedures annually, with New Hampshire’s rates being similarly low. Most cases involve puberty blockers or hormone therapy, while surgical interventions are extremely rare.

A 2024 report by the American Medical Association reveals that at least 24 states have introduced or passed laws restricting gender-affirming care for minors. These legislative approaches range from outright bans to more moderate “do no harm” provisions and parental consent requirements.

Mazur is a New Hampshire state representative known for her advocacy on child welfare, mental health, and youth policy, as noted by Ballotpedia. Her legislative record emphasizes protections for vulnerable children and support for family-focused healthcare.
