The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced that the Exit 2 on-ramp from Hooksett Road to Route 101 westbound in Auburn will be closed from Sunday evening, April 26, to Friday, May 1.

The closure is required to support pavement preservation and ramp reconstruction work on Route 101. During this period, drivers will be detoured to the Route 101 Exit 2 on-ramp (eastbound), then directed to the Route 101 Exit 3 (eastbound) off-ramp. From there, motorists should proceed to Old Manchester Road, turn left onto Old Candia Road, continue onto Exit 3 westbound, and return to Route 101 westbound. The detour covers approximately 7.9 miles and is expected to take about nine minutes.

Road users are advised to remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all message boards and posted signs. The department also encourages road users to sign up for free real-time construction and traffic-related messages via text or email at newengland511.org.

Pike Industries of Belmont is serving as the general contractor for this $15.7 million federal resurfacing program project. The overall project is scheduled for completion in September 2026.

More information can be found in the New Hampshire Department of Transportation’s press release.
