Traffic on Route 123A in Acworth, New Hampshire, will be affected for about four weeks due to roadwork. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) plans to close a section of Route 123A, located 3.1 miles west of the NH Route 10/Route 123A intersection, for a box culvert replacement project.
The construction is scheduled to start on Monday, July 14, 2025, and continue until Friday, August 15, 2025. During this period, traffic will be redirected along a signed detour via Route 10 to Route 123. Local traffic will still have access on either side of the closure.
To ensure safety and reduce disruptions, message boards and traffic control devices will be used to guide motorists and inform the public. “Road Users are urged to use caution, obey posted signs, and anticipate possible delays while crews complete the work,” said NHDOT.
Cold River Bridges LLC from Walpole, New Hampshire is managing the $475,910 project. The completion date is set for Friday, August 15, 2025.
