Bedford Fire Department, NH issued the following announcement on July 22.
Last night at Town Council meeting Lt. Maurice Mailhot received the VFW award for Firefighter/EMT of the year from retired Air Force Veteran Gary Backus.
Not only did Lt. Mailhot receive this award at the state level, he received the national award as well!
This accolade is a testament to the character that Lt. Mailhot possesses.
Congratulations Lt. Mailhot, your dedication to the community reflects great credit upon yourself, the organization and the Fire Service!
