Indictments were handed down July 28 against ten former employees of a state-run juvenile detention center in New Hampshire, accusing some workers of sexually assaulting teenagers at the facility and charging others with acting as accomplices.
Gov. Chris Sununu (R) has vowed the investigation will continue until justice for the victims is achieved.
"We will not stop until everyone involved with these heinous crime is brought to justice," Sununu wrote in a July 28 Tweet. "Investigators are working around the clock to ensure every last person is held accountable."
The ten men who were indicted are accused of committing crimes at the Youth Development Center, which is now called the Sununu Youth Services Center, over a period of 13 years beginning in 1994, the Associated Press reported. The facility has been the target of a criminal investigation that started two years ago.
Indictments against an 11th person who was arrested with the other ten back in April have not been handed down yet, according to the Associated Press.
More than 300 men and women have brought allegations of abuse and misconduct against about 150 employees of the facility for behavior spanning the years between 1960 and 2018, according to WCAX3.
