An Announcement from NH Department of Agriculture, Markets & Food

The arrival of Tropical Storm Henri on Sunday morning is expected to bring substantial wind and rain, along with possible flash flooding, power outages, and roadway impacts across the state. This will not be just a Seacoast issue and there is great potential for statewide impacts.

A few reminders of agriculture issues to be thinking of before Sunday:

• Road closures can impact product transport • Power outages can lead to generator use and the need for fuel • Equipment may need to be moved indoors for protection • Loose outdoor items should be secured safely so they don’t blow away

Farmers are a resilient and prepared group, and a reminder now and then can’t hurt. Be safe.

Please share this email with others in the New Hampshire agricultural community.
