A new study reveals that the GOP has more trust issues when it comes to their state elected officials than their Democrat counterparts.

The survey was conducted by the Trafalgar Group, in partnership with the Convention of States Action, and surveyed 1,119 likely General Election voters.

The poll found that most Americans either trust President Biden and Congressional Democrats to protect, defend and promote issues that they find important or they trust Republican governors and state legislatures. In the survey, 34.8% were partial to federal Democrats and 33% were partial to Republican state leaders. Only 15% trusted Congressional Republicans, and even fewer trusted state Democrat leaders at 9.4%, according to the Trafalgar Group.

The results differed widely by party affiliation, with 63.5% of Democrats preferring Biden and Congressional Democrats, and only 7.6% preferring state Republican leaders. Sixty-three percent of Republicans trusted state leaders more, and only 8.6% said Biden and Congressional Democrats were more trustworthy. The third-party and independent respondents had varied responses, but a plurality of 30.3% had the most faith in Republican governors and state legislators.

Convention of States Action (COSA) is a grassroots political organization with over 5 million supporters across the U.S. The organization's primary focus is on calling an Article V Convention of the States to propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution. COSA only promotes amendments that would impose limitations on the size and scope of the federal government, according to its website.

According to Ballotpedia, the New Hampshire Legislature and the executive branch (Gov. Chris Sununu) are controlled by Republicans.

New Hampshire currently has two Democrat U.S. representatives, Rep. Chris Pappas and Rep. Annie Kuster, and two Democrat U.S. senators, Sen. Maggie Hassan and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen. The state currently has no Republican elected officials in Washington, D.C.

The Trafalgar Group is a public polling and market research firm. Its website states that Real Clear Politics called it the "most accurate pollster of the cycle among those firms that polled multiple senate and governor's races” this year.

President Joe Biden won the state of New Hampshire in 2020 with 52.71% of the vote to former President Donald Trump's 45.36%, according to Wikipedia.
