Single Car Motor Vehicle Crash

Crash

New Hampshire State Police issued the following announcement on Sep. 18.

On September 17, 2021 at approximately 11:23pm, #Troopers from the #NHSP #TroopB Barracks along with the Manchester Fire and EMS, and members of DOT responded to the scene of a single car motor vehicle crash involving a;

2005 Dodge Neon

Color: White

The crash occurred on the ramp leading to Interstate 293 north from Interstate 93 south in Manchester, #NH. Troopers’ investigation revealed the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle as;

Branden Duncan

Age 20

Lawrence, MA

Attempted to make a lane change to continue south on Interstate 93 at the junction with the ramp for 293 when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle traveled over a guardrail and rolled down the embankment several hundred feet. The operator was ejected from the vehicle.  A passing motorist stopped to report the crash.

Duncan was transported to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester for treatment of serious life threatening injuries sustained from the crash.

A portion of the roadway was closed for approximately 1.5 hours while first responders investigated the incident. The vehicle was recovered from the embankment by a heavy duty wrecker provided by Blais Towing and removed from the highway by Skiff’s Towing.

Speed appears to be a factor in this crash, however, all aspects remain under investigation and anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact #Trooper Timothy Repucci at Timothy.R.Repucci@dos.nh.gov or 603-223-8836.
