The New England Patriots’ 25-22 week-four victory over the Houston Texans continued a record with roots in the 2016 season.

The Patriots website reported that the team -- which was 2-2, as of Oct. 16, ahead of its matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday -- extended the NFL record of first-half scoring to 91 straight games.

“The Patriots have scored in the first half in 91 straight games, including playoffs (longest such streak in NFL since at least 2000),” Twitter user "Seahawks Fanatic" shared on Oct. 10.

Running back Damien Harris’ one-yard touchdown scamper in the second quarter against Houston kept the streak alive. Harris ended the afternoon with a line of 58 yards rushing on 14 touches.

The team’s website also reported that the Patriots own the second-longest streak at 82 games with a first-half score from 2006 to 2011. The Patriots have not failed to score in the first half since Oct. 2, 2016, in a game against Buffalo.

As of Oct. 16, New England carried a 2-0 away mark, with the win over Houston joining the week-two triumph over the New York Jets at the Meadowlands.

The Patriots have been the NFL’s best road team since 1994, with a 134-84 record outside of Foxborough.
