The right to abortion and contraception is a matter of personal autonomy, economic freedom, and health. For 49 years, Roe v. Wade has protected Americans' constitutional right to make their own health care decisions, and we must continue to defend this critical precedent.

But across the country, including in New Hampshire, Republican-led legislatures are restricting access to reproductive health care. From passing the first abortion ban in modern history to defunding family planning clinics, New Hampshire Republicans are setting the Granite State back decades.

As the Supreme Court gets ready to rule on a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade, attacks like these are deeply troubling.

I will keep fighting to protect access to safe, affordable health care and Granite Staters' right to choose if and when to start a family.
