The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the temporary closure of the I-89 Exit 19 northbound on-ramp starting the morning of Monday, November 7, 2022, to allow for drainage improvements and the reconstruction of the on-ramp.
Construction is anticipated to last seven days while all of the necessary work on the ramp is completed. The work schedule is weather dependent, and the re-opening date may be delayed a few days because of weather. A detour utilizing message boards and temporary construction signs will be put in place directing traffic to use Exit 19 southbound on-ramp to I-89 southbound Exit 18 to reverse directions to I-89 northbound. Once drainage, paving, curb, and line striping have been completed on the on-ramp, the ramp will be opened to traffic.
This work will coincide with the current Exit 19 northbound off-ramp closure.
Crews are currently finishing bridge demolition and will begin concrete work on the off-ramp bridge next week. The off-ramp has had the existing drainage rehabilitated and the ramp has recently been repaved. Once the bridge work is complete and the bridge paved and striped the off-ramp will be opened to traffic.
Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.
