The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will implement daytime lane closures on both northbound and southbound lanes of the Spaulding Turnpike (Route 16) in Dover between Exits 8 and 9. The work, scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, is expected to last approximately four weeks, weather permitting.
Crews will conduct preconstruction work and install temporary concrete barriers as part of preparations for the upcoming Cocheco River Bridges replacement. Lane closures with uniformed police officers will help manage traffic flow during construction.
Lane Closure Schedule:
- Northbound lane closures: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Southbound lane closures: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The project is part of the Dover 41824 initiative, with Evroks Corporation of Northfield, NH serving as the prime contractor for the $14 million effort, which is scheduled for completion in June 2027.
